Two-headed space worms

At the International Space Station (ISS) researchers made an unexpected discovery: a flatworm that they had cut the head and the tail off, and had sent to the station, grew two heads when it was regenerating in space.

And maybe even more astonishing, when they cut off both heads when the animal was back on earth, it regrew two heads again. Apparently its body plan was permanently altered.

Well, permanently… they did not send the animal back into space and cut it up in more peaces to see what would happen then, but maybe that is for some other time.
